It is ideal for people who want their astigmatism corrected and who wish to be free of glasses for general activities requiring good distance vision but who do not mind wearing glasses for near tasks.
People who are very short or long sighted who also have astigmatism, find the choice of spectacles suitable for their prescription very limiting and are often happy to require a ' normal off -the-peg' pair for reading only
