Acri.LISA Lens

suitable for ....

The Acri.LISA is a new generation multifocal lens which is designed to allow patients to see in the distance and close up and in between without relying on glasses.

Conventional cataract surgery offers monofocal lenses, which give good distance vision but spectacles are needed for reading.

Multifocal ( also known as bifocal) lenses are needed when freedom from spectacles is the end goal.

Older generation multifocals offered benefits of all round vision but many people had problems with halos round lights, making driving quite difficult at night. The Acri.LISA is designed to reduce these side effects dramatically (See Clinical study below and Medical page for more information)

Surgeons who use the Acri.LISA have reported that patients are usually delighted with both their near and distance vision. 'Some prefer to wear glasses for intermediate (computer) work. All can happily drive without glasses, day and night.’

Patient Comments

I had an 11.00am appointment at the hospital and by 12.20pm I was out and on my way home.

My wife drove me home and when I took the patch off [my eye] I found my vision was perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Cataract Patient - Milton Keynes

I felt no pain and after the operation could see 100% in my right eye. It was wonderful. I knew immediately that the operation had been a success. My daughter took me home and I could see all the road signs and car number plates, without any glasses, which was more than I had hoped to expect.
